Covariant energy density functionals (CEDF) of different types, with a nonlinear meson coupling, with density-dependent meson couplings, and pairing correlations within relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory. Predicted a new region of octupole deformation around Z=98 and N=196. Comparison with available experimental data.
