Polarization potentials due to inelastic excitations

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²³⁸U(α, α), E=24.7 MeV; ²⁰⁸Pb(⁶He, ⁶He), E=22 MeV; ²⁰⁸Pb(⁷Li, ⁷Li), E=33 MeV; calculated σ(θ) comparing optical model and coupled-channels methods with data and the effect of using a dynamic polarization potential.
