The Gamow-Teller strength distribution starting from the ground state of ¹⁴N

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁴N(d, ²He), E=175 MeV; ¹⁴N(³He, t), E=420 MeV; measured ²He and triton spectra at forward angles using Big-Bite and Grand-Raiden magnetic spectrometers, σ(E, θ); deduced Gamow-Teller strength distributions in ¹⁴C and ¹⁴O. DWBA analysis. Comparison with no-core shell-model predictions. ¹⁴O; deduced level widths.
