Reduced Occupancy of the Deeply Bound 0d_5/2 Neutron State in ³²Ar

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁹Be(³²Ar, ³¹ArX), E=65.1 MeV/nucleon; measured σ, longitudinal momentum distribution; deduced spectroscopic factor. ³²Ar deduced occupancy of deeply-bound neutron state. Role of large neutron separation energy discussed.
