Direct Decays from Superdeformed States in ¹⁹²Pb Observed Using Time-Correlated γ-Ray Spectroscopy

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁶⁸Er(²⁹Si, 5n), E=154 MeV; measured prompt and delayed Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin. ¹⁹²Pb deduced linking transitions between normal-deformed and superdeformed states, superdeformed band excitation energy, J, π. Gammasphere array. Comparison with model predictions.
