Excitation of ²⁰⁸Pb in Light Ion Induced Reactions and the Two Octupole Phonon Multiplet

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁰⁸Pb(p, p'), (d, d'), E=22 MeV; ²⁰⁸Pb(α, α'), E=40 MeV; measured Ep, Eα, deuteron spectra, σ(θ). ²⁰⁸Pb(polarized d, p), E not given; measured proton spectra, Ay(θ). ²⁰⁸Pb deduced levels, J, π, spectroscopic factors, two-octupole-phonon multiplet states. Comparison with quasiparticle phonon model results.
