Core Polarization in the Light of New Experimental g Factors of fp Shell, N = 28, Isotones

NUCLEAR REACTIONS C(50Ti, 50Ti'), E=110 MeV; C(54Fe, 54Fe'), E=130 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ(θ, H, t) in magnetized Gd following projectile Coulomb excitation. 50Ti, 54Fe levels deduced g factors, T1/2. Transient field technique. Comparison with shell model predictions.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 49Sc, 50Ti, 51V, 52Cr, 53Mn, 54Fe, 55Co; calculated g factors. Shell model, several interactions compared. Comparisons with data.
