Experiments Evidence of Octupole Vibrations in the Superdeformed Well

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁶⁰Gd(³⁴S, 4n), E=156 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γ-ray polarization. ¹⁹⁰Hg deduced octupole vibrational nature of excited superdeformed band. Euroball IV array.
