Large Deformation of the Very Neutron-Rich Nucleus ³²Mg from Intermediate-Energy Coulomb Excitation

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁰⁸Pb(³²Mg, ³²Mg'), E=49.2 MeV/nucleon; measured Eγ, Iγ following Coulomb excitation. ³²Mg level deduced B(E2), deformation features. Coupled-channels approach.
