Observation and Lifetime of the First Excited Superdeformed Band in ¹⁹²Hg

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁶⁰Gd(³⁶S, 4n), E=159 MeV; measured γγγ-coin, DSA. ¹⁹²Hg deduced high-spin levels, J, π, superdeformed band two-quasineutron excitation, T_1/2, deformation features, B(λ), transition quadrupole moments.
