Isospin Character of the Transition to the 0.803-MeV State in ²⁰⁶Pb from π± Scattering at 180 MeV

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁰⁶Pb(π⁺, π⁺), (π⁺, π⁺'), (π^-, π^-), (π^-, π^-'), E=180 MeV; measured missing mass spectra, σ(θ). ²⁰⁶Pb deduced neutron, proton matrix elements ratio for quadrupole, octupole transitions. Deformed optical model, DWIA analyses.
