Triaxiality and γ-Softness in ¹⁹⁶Pt

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁹⁶Pt(²⁰⁸Pb, ²⁰⁸Pb'), E=4.8 MeV/nucleon; measured γ(particle)-, γγ(particle)-coin following multiple Coulomb excitation. ¹⁹⁶Pt deduced E2-transition moments, static quadrupole moments, B(λ). Different theoretical models.
