Near Yrast Discrete Line Gamma-Ray Spectroscopy in ¹⁵⁶Dy up to Spin 40(h-bar)

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁴⁸Nd(¹²C, 4n), E=65 MeV; measured E(γ), γγ-coin, I(γ)(θ). ¹²⁴Sn(³⁶S, 4n), E=155 MeV; measured E(γ), γγ-coin, I(γ)(30°)/I(γ)(90°). ¹⁵⁶Dy deduced levels, I(γ), J, π, rotational band characteristics. Enriched targets, Ge(Li)-NaI(Tl) and Ge-NaI(Tl) escape-suppressed detectors, bismuth germanate crystal ball. Cranked-shell model calculations.
