First Observation of the i_13/2 Neutron Orbital in the A = 130 Region: Spectroscopy of ¹³⁵Sm

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁹²Mo(⁴⁶Ti, n2p), E=210 MeV; ⁶⁴Zn(⁷⁴Se, n2p), E=290 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, γ(recoil nucleus)-coin, γγ(θ). ¹³⁵Sm deduced levels, J, π, γ-branching, configuration, band structure. Ge detectors, bismuth germanate suppression shields, recoil separator, enriched targets. Cranked shell model.
