Analysis of Giant Resonances in Proton, ³He, and α Scattering and the Spin-Flip Strength in ²⁰⁸Pb

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE ²⁰⁸Pb, ²⁰⁸Bi; calculated isovector spin-flip response. Microscopic particle-hole model, nuclear matter response.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁰⁸Pb(α, α'), E=172 MeV; ²⁰⁸Pb(³He, ³He'), E=140 MeV; ²⁰⁸Pb(p, p'), E=200 MeV; analyzed σ(θ). ²⁰⁸Pb deduced isoscalar, isovector spin-flip giant resonance excitations. DWBA, double folding form factors.
