On the Nature of Low-Lying Collective 1⁺ States in the Heavy Deformed Nuclei ¹⁵⁴Sm, ¹⁵⁶Gd and ¹⁶⁴Dy and in the f_7/2 Shell Nucleus ⁴⁶Ti

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁴⁶Ti, ¹⁵⁴Sm, ¹⁵⁶Gd, ¹⁶⁴Dy(p, p'), E=201 MeV; measured σ(Ep'), σ(θ). ⁴⁶Ti(e, e'), E=30 MeV; ¹⁵⁶Gd(e, e'), E=25 MeV; measured σ(E(e')). ⁴⁶Ti, ¹⁵⁴Sm, ¹⁴⁶Gd, ¹⁶⁴Dy deduced B(M1), spin contribution upper limit to M1 excitations.
