E2 Collective Behavior in the Even-Even Osmium and Platinum Nuclei

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ^{186,188,190,192}Os, ¹⁹⁴Pt(⁴⁰Ca, ⁴⁰Ca'), (⁵⁸Ni, ⁵⁸Ni'), (¹³⁶Xe, ¹³⁶Xe'), (²⁰⁸Pb, ²⁰⁸Pb'), E=3.3-4.8 MeV/nucleon; measured γ(particle)-, (particle)(particle)γ-coin, γ yields vs Z, θ following Coulomb excitation. ^{186,188,190,192}Os, ¹⁹⁴Pt deduced B(E2), E2 transition matrix elements, static quadrupole moments, band intersection effects.
