Multipole Moments of ¹⁵⁴Sm and ¹⁶⁶Er by Inelastic Scattering of 134 MeV Protons

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁵⁴Sm, ¹⁶⁶Er(polarized p, p'), E=134 MeV; measured σ(Ep'), σ(θ), A(θ); deduced deformed optical model parameters. ¹⁵⁴Sm, ¹⁶⁶Er deduced β₂, β₄, β₆. Enriched targets, magnetic spectrograph. Coupled-channels calculations.
