Linear Polarization and Directional Distribution of Gamma-Rays from Oriented ¹⁷²Lu

RADIOACTIVITY ¹⁷²Lu(EC) [from Pb(p, X), E=660 MeV]; measured Eγ, γ linear polarization, γ(θ), oriented nuclei. ¹⁷²Yb levels deduced J, π, K, δ, band structure. Radioactive sample in Gd matrix.
