Internal Pair Creation Induced by Nuclear Coulomb Excitation in Heavy-Ion Collisions

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²³⁸U(²³⁸U, ²³⁸U'γ), E(cm)=797 MeV; ¹³⁸Ba, ¹⁴⁰Ce, ¹⁴²Nd(¹³²Xe, ¹³²Xe'γ), E(lab)=600 MeV; ^58,60Ni(⁵⁸Ni, ⁵⁸Ni'γ), E(lab)=180 MeV; ²⁰⁸Pb(²⁰⁸Pb, ²⁰⁸Pb'γ), E(lab)=1200 MeV; calculated Coulomb excitation σ for pair production.
