The Giant Dipole Resonance Excited by α-Capture

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 24Mg(α, γ), E = 5.3-14.5 MeV; 26Mg(α, γ), E = 4-13.5 MeV; 28Si(α, γ), E = 7-12 MeV; measured σ(E; Eγ, θ). 28Si, 30Si, 32S levels deduced J, π properties of giant dipole resonance. Enriched 24,26Mg targets.
