We use a potential model, together with spectroscopic factors from a combination of weak coupling and a shell-model calculation, to compute the mass of the ground state of ${}^{18}$Mg, considered as a mirror of ${}^{18}$C. The result is $E_{2p}=3.87\left(10\right)\mathrm{MeV}$.
