Mass of 18Mg(g.s.)

Abstract

We use a potential model, together with spectroscopic factors from a combination of weak coupling and a shell-model calculation, to compute the mass of the ground state of 18Mg, considered as a mirror of 18C. The result is E2p=3.8710MeV.
