Abstract

Excited-state energies and E2 transition probabilities have been calculated for the four well-deformed nuclei considered in the recent work of R. V. Jolos and P. von Brentano, using the three mass parameters proposed in their work, while also taking into account the interplay of rotational and vibrational modes. The Davidson potential is used as a potential of the β vibration. The same approach is applied to the odd 173Yb nucleus.
