Abstract

The experimental data for α-decay half-lives to ground and excited states of deformed nuclei with 222A252 and 88Z102 are analyzed in the framework of the unified model for α decay and α capture. The branching ratios to excited states depend on the energy and the angular momentum of the α particle. The evaluated branching ratios for 0g.s.+0g.s.+,2+,4+α transitions in even-even nuclei agree with the experimental data. The experimental and calculated branching ratios for α transitions into more highly excited states are similar.
