Core excitation in the elastic scattering and breakup of Be11 on protons

Abstract

The elastic scattering and breakup of Be11 from a proton target at intermediate energies is studied. We explore the role of core excitation in the reaction mechanism. Comparison with the data suggests that there is still missing physics in the description.
