Abstract

A simple, two-parameter IBA-1 Hamiltonian is applied to light W, Os, and Pt nuclei with N104. Equal emphasis is placed on fitting all low-lying positive parity excitations resulting in a good description of energy levels and electromagnetic transition rates. A mapping of these parameters into the IBA symmetry triangle finds that these nuclei lie rather central in the triangle and close to the phase transition region of the IBA model.
