Abstract

We investigate fp shell (Fe4458) nuclei in highly excited states. Effects of the thermal and rotational excitations on the separation energy are studied and it is found that these excitations affect the particle stability and alter the boundary of the proton drip line. The shell effects near the proton drip line are seen through the level density parameter ae. Changes in the occupation probability as a function of temperature and spin are studied.
