Abstract

The indication for the α decay of 180W with a half-life T1/2α=1.10.4+0.8(stat)±0.3(syst)×1018 yr has been observed for the first time with the help of the superlow background 116CdWO4 crystal scintillators. In a conservative approach the lower limit on half-life of 180W has been established as T1/2α(180W)>~0.7×1018 yr at 90% C.L. In addition, new T1/2α bounds were set for α decay of 182W,183W,184W, and 186W at the level of 1020 yr.
