Abstract
The differential cross sections for the elastic scattering of 12C and 16O nuclei by 12C nuclei are calculated on the basis of the theory of multiple diffractive scattering and the dispersive alpha-cluster model. The calculations were performed by using either an effective or a free αα amplitude. It is shown that the results obtained in these two cases are noticeably different.
