Abstract
The charge-exchange reaction at has been studied to locate isovector () non-spin-flip () giant resonances. Besides the giant dipole resonance at , another resonance has been observed at with a width of 9 MeV. Distorted-wave Born approximation analysis on the angular distribution clearly indicated the multipolarity, attributing the state to the giant isovector quadrupole resonance.
