Abstract

The transfer reactions of 11B(d,p)12B and 12C(d,p)13C, at incident energy of 11.8MeV, have been used to extract asymptotic normalization coefficients and root-mean-square radii for the last neutron in 12B and 13C. It is found experimentally that the second (Jπ=2) and third (Jπ=1) excited states in 12B and the first (Jπ=1/2+) excited state in 13C are the neutron halo states, whereas the third (Jπ=5/2+) excited state in 13C is a neutron skin state.
