Abstract

By using glass track detectors in geometry we measured the branching ratio of 230U for emission of Ne clusters to be B=(4.8±2.0)×10−14 and an upper limit for 18O emission from 226Th to be B<3.2×10−14. On the basis of theoretical calculations, the most probable neon cluster comes out to be 22Ne.
