Abstract
The Maxwellian rate parameters ⟨σv⟩ of the three-body breakup reactions 6Li(d, pα)T and 6Li(d, nα)3He are calculated in a physically justified model. The correct allowance for nuclear-structure factors in the d + 6Li system is shown to enhance the rates of these reactions at thermonuclear temperatures. The rate parameters found exceed those obtained previously elsewhere by 10-40% at ion temperatures below 100 keV. The calculated values of ⟨σv⟩ are tabulated.
