Study of 9Be(p,pn) and 9Be(p,2p) reactions at 70 MeV

Abstract

Differential cross sections for the reactions 9Be(p,pn)8Be and 9Be(p,2p)8Li were simultaneously measured at an incident proton energy of 70 MeV. The measured spectra were decomposed into contributions from 1p and 1s shells. The cross sections were then analyzed in the framework of the DWTA approach. The radius of 8Be was derived.
