Abstract
Pion-nucleus scattering has been analyzed using an equivalent local potential to calculate the differential cross sections for pions elastically scattered from and in the energy range of 30 to 292 MeV. The DWUCK4 computer program was used to predict observables of pion-nucleus elastic scattering. Our results are successfully compared to recent data. The skin neutrons in contribute to elastic scattering in this energy range more than the protons.
