Abstract

The spectrum of bremsstrahlung in alpha decay is calculated within the framework of quantum and classical electrodynamics. The formulas for the spectra of E1 and E2 radiation are obtained. The bremsstrahlung is evaluated for the Coulomb barrier and for the spherical symmetry rectangular potential barrier. Experimental results for the nuclei 210,214Po and 226Ra are analyzed. A concept of interference of the space regions in the emission amplitude is discussed.
