Candidates for Two-Phonon Octupole Excitations in 208Pb

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 207,208Pb(n, n'), E ≈ 6 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ(θ), DSA. Pb(n, n'), E ≈ 6 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ(θ), γγ-coin, DSA. 207,208Pb deduced transitions T1/2, B(E1). 208Pb deduced possible two-phonon octupole states. Comparison with 209Bi.
