Abstract
Analytical expressions for , , , , and transition rates for low-lying negative-parity states in the SU(3) limit of the IBM are given. Applications to some deformed nuclei in the region and Uranium isotopes have yielded good agreement between calculation and data for transitions. These formulas are useful in studying both positive- and negative-parity states of deformed nuclei.
