Abstract

α-particle decays from several excited states in 11C, 13C, and 15N have been observed in three-body final state reactions induced by heavy-ion beams at 6.5–9.0 MeV/nucleon from the FSU Tandem/LINAC. Where possible, branching fraction estimates are made. Improvements in the energy resolution of the detection system have allowed the observation of many previously unreported α-particle decays, several new total energy width determinations, and a few new excited state energies.
