The decay of 189W

  • Short note

Zeitschrift für Physik A Hadrons and Nuclei

Abstract

189W was produced by bombarding natural osmium targets with 14.7 MeV neutrons. The W activities were chemically separated from Os and Re. Gamma-ray spectra were obtained by employing a high resolution detector. A total of 22 γ-rays in the separated tungsten fractions was found which could be assigned to the decay of 189W. Eighteen of these γ-rays were previously unreported.
