Abstract

High-spin states in Pm145 have been studied with TESSA3 operating at NSF Daresbury, through the Xe134(15N,4n) compound nucleus reaction using a solid xenon target. To determine conversion coefficients and properties of low-spin excitations electron-γ and γ-γ coincidences have been measured following the Nd146(d,3n) reaction. An extended level scheme of Pm145 is proposed and interpreted in terms of single-particle excitations with collective quadrupole and octupole vibrations coupled to them. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
