Abstract

Double-differential cross sections of the 12C, 54,56Fe, 90Zr and 208Pb(n,p) reactions have been measured at 100 MeV. The proton spectra have been interpreted in terms of direct and multistep reactions. The direct part has been decomposed into multipole components, using a technique based on sample angular distributions calculated within the DWBA. Calculations of the full spectra have also been performed with a statistical multistep direct reaction model.
