Differential cross sections for neutrino scattering on C12

Abstract

Differential cross sections for neutrino scattering on C12 are calculated within the (continuum) random phase approximation model. The charged current (νe,e) and (νμ,μ) capture reactions on C12 are measured by the LSND Collaboration at LAMPF. We investigate and discuss the merits of such studies, especially the information that can be extracted from data for differential neutrino scattering cross sections. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
