Abstract

Gamma-rays following the decay of the neutron-rich isotope Ag124 have been studied at the ISOLDE facility using a chemically selective laser ion source. Excited structures beyond the first 2+ level in Cd124 have been identified for the first time, and are discussed in terms of a recent anharmonic vibration model. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
