Abstract
Lifetimes of states in and produced by the Al,2pnY and Al,3pSr reactions at 90 MeV have been measured using the recoil distance method. The present results along with previous measurements show how the B(E2) strengths and collectivity vary with spin in the lowest π=+ and π=- bands of and in the ground state band of . The alternating pattern of B(M1) strengths in the yrast band of has been confirmed. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
