Abstract

Measurements of the angular distributions of the C12(11B,6Li)17O reaction were performed at three energies of a B11 beam: 28, 35, and 40 MeV. The results were analyzed in the frame of the exact finite range distorted wave Born approximation of the first and the second order assuming the simultaneous and sequential transfer of the neutron and the α particle. Such an analysis was also performed for previously measured angular distributions of the C12(d,7Li)7Be reaction at Elab = 78 MeV. In both reactions under investigation dominance was found of the simultaneous transfer of the α particle and the nucleon correlated to the He5 (5Li) cluster in the ground or the first excited state. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
