Abstract

The structure of Cd122 was studied through the decay of Ag122 by γ-γ coincidences, γ-ray angular correlations, and β-γ-γ fast electronic scintillation timing (FEST) measurements. The phonon and intruder structure of the 0+ states is discussed. The energy systematics of the low-lying levels in the Cd isotopes exhibits two distinct patterns, one minimizing at midshell, one somewhat later.
