Abstract

Nucleon-nucleus potentials, local equivalent to the single configuration RGM S-matrices of Tang and collaborators, are determined using iterative-perturbative inversion techniques to establish the contributions of antisymmetry for a range of nuclei from 3H to 40Ca. Parity dependent potentials, which had been previously found for p+4He, are established for all nuclei studied. These potentials are strongly dependent on the target and the projectile energy. The magnitude of the parity dependent component decreases with increasing target size and, in most cases, with the nucleon energy. For the nuclei, 3H, 3He and 6Li, with spin-coupling effects excluded, a strong dependence on the channel spin is found. A qualitative assessment is also made of the contributions of antisymmetry to the imaginary potential.
