Abstract

The cross section for the capture reaction2H(α,γ)6Li was measured in the energy range of about Eα,lab≊2 MeV corresponding to the 3+ resonance in Li6 at Ex=2186 keV. Calculations in a direct-capture model using double-folded α-d potentials reproduce strength and width of this resonance as well as the nonresonant capture cross section at lower and higher energies.
