Abstract

He6 beta decay to α+d continuum is studied in a three-body α+N+N approach. The branching ratio for beta-delayed deuteron emission is found to be (3–4)×105 for three-body He6 and Li6 wave functions reproducing the ft value for He6 with great accuracy. The results are sensitive to the neutron halo structure of the He6 nucleus.
